I'm not sure what you mean, Michel -- you can aways use Staff Visiblity to hide a given ossia.

This took under 5 mins. There's no prefatory clef or "ossia" label, I grant you. But the ossia is automatically given more space. The only manual adjustments I made were slightly moving the lyric syllables away from the dashed barlines.

The page header region is pretty large, by comparison with the rest. You could reduce it slightly. What staff size are you using? I tend to use a 15pt staff (3.75pt space), which is slightly smaller than Size 6. Choral music can be written quite small -- in fact, the often-seen schoolboy error is us...

Faber have published an "entry-level" version of Behind Bars, covering the "General Conventions", but not going into all the detail. It's basically the first 240 pages for £25, which makes it more affordable, particularly for students; and so might get it more widely circulated. ...
