Re: My current Sibelius slur settings

Many thanks odod. But, if you turn off the magnetic layout, don't they move again? My settings would imply as little editing as possible, yet I am aware that the full automatisation is not possible (yet!).

Re: My current Sibelius slur settings

Very nice, odod. One of the Sib examples that actually don't look like Sibelius.
I like it very much, not only the slur settings but everything else.

If you want to share your settings (screenshots), I would be more than happy to explore your approach.

Re: Incomplete tuplets - yes or no?

That is difficult to read, definitely.
I would say even incorrect.

About the question: the error lies as a result in misuse of good things.
No software is immune of human errors, be it in program itself or otherwise.

Re: Tips on creating a professional engraving?

As previous members stated, fonts can make a visual improvement but will not change the quality of engraving. I have seen recently two scores (famous composers, privately shared) one is done in Finale/Maestro, another in Finale/Engraver. The quality was astonishing. Utilisation of space, good BW bal...

Re: What Software Does MusicNotes.com Use?

I believe that Graphire is pretty sophisticated software. Not sure about Amadeus.
These examples look like done manually, almost.

Re: Rehearsal letter and Segno

I try to imagine that situation, I see the problem indeed. Measure numbers, rehearsal letters and segno are all "signals", indeed. "segno" is even a formal, forcing-signal. When using a Rehearsal Letter, the Measure Number disappears, it is because RH is on the higher hierarchy than MN. I believe th...

Re: What Software Does MusicNotes.com Use?

A sample from musicnotes.com with a choir bracket. Definitely not a Finale choir bracket. Possibly SCORE? Correct, not Finale at all in both examples. Both are a badly designed, check some beam offsets, unacceptable. I am not sure if it is SCORE. You can make a mess with SCORE of course, but the sh...

Re: What Software Does MusicNotes.com Use?

So, I was wondering if anyone knows the "program" used here. (I'm not at all interested in acquiring it, just curious.) (EDIT: Image re-uploaded with higher resolution) Thanks for upload. It is definitely done with a computer, since all objects are perfectly aligned (such as rests..). My guessing i...
