Re: Engraving in MuseScore

That's really nice, Pierre. And so is the font. I think only the clef is different from MuseScore (Emmentaler). Octo, I think your work with MuseScore is great. I'd never thought that the output would be so nice. It's a nice surprise. Congrats. Could you show us a partial screen shot as per page 1?...

Re: Engraving in MuseScore

I've checked how it looks like using LilyPond: Interesting, your example in LilyPond looks (not fonts) very similar to MuseScore. Re: Beauty in a digitalised world of music copying

David, I think that many musicians like to see composer's handwritten scores, it is just very nice to experience, I have always been asked for the same, but my scores are not so very well legible.
On the other hand, Finale can produce truly anemic scores, if everything is used by default.

Re: Test topic.

That is very strange. Try to post just a short test message there, you can delete it.

John, are you trying to post using TapaTalk? I have just yesterday updated the plugin. Perhaps that is why. I can turn it off. Not sure how many people use tapatalk.

Re: Engraving in MuseScore

I have done now the first page of my violin piece in MuseScore 2. I have started on Linux about year ago, than on OS X than stopped; and now continue working on Windows 10 and a large monitor (27" BenQ). What I can say: the output is very good, better than what I expected. I have started the same sc...

Re: Beauty in a digitalised world of music copying

Copyists proficient in SCORE claim that it is faster than any of its competitors. They may claim that, but also all others, yet no competition in music engraving "quickness" has ever been done. SCORE has been in use when no other software was on the market, so that type of comparison has not been i...
