Re: Rehearsal letter and Segno

From a musical point of view, the segno would have more immediate importance to me and I would place it below the rehearsal mark (or closer to the staff, in other words)

Re: "Lead" voice moves around ensemble

It honestly depends on how obvious the Hauptstimme is without the explicit marking. There are many times where a voice's emphasis will be clear merely from the context, and where the marking would just clutter the page. Schoenberg ostensibly created the symbol because his music was so complex as to ...

Re: An ossia (or oppure) - is this one clear?

If you want the high G, make that the full-size note. 95% of singers that aren't show-offs (myself included) would take the D as we'd presume it to be your preferred option.

Re: Tips on creating a professional engraving?

I would suggest re-engraving an example you find particularly attractive, or even merely a page of one. Re: So what is generally considered the best all-around Beethoven piano sonatas edition?

I purchased both volumes of the Schenker edition from Dover. The printing is not quite as clear as I would have liked but it is certainly acceptable and a step up from the more recent Dover editions with awful printing. The binding is sewn but not flexible in the slightest, so I will likely have to ...

Re: My current Sibelius slur settings

I don't mind the thickness, but they could be a bit more tapered in my opinion. It does look exactly like SCORE's defaults, if that's what your end goal is.

Re: Henle Blog and App

This is from a 2014 Henle score:

In particular, note the angle of the treble clef and how smooth the top of the new clef looks in comparison.

Re: Henle Blog and App

Also, looking at that score close-up, has Henle changed their music font? At least the treble clef looks different from their normally very distinctive look.

Fascinating. Out of curiosity, could you explain how Schenker's musical background influenced that edition, above and beyond what editors usually contribute?
