Re: Dorico 1.2 released

At version 1.2, Dorico is still missing some important features, but the program is so easy to use compared to Finale, with so many fewer bugs, and the output looks so good, that I use it anyway. The finished score, in my experience, requires far, far less manual editing than Finale scores do.

Re: So what is generally considered the best all-around Beethoven piano sonatas edition?

I agree that the Schenker editions of Beethoven's sonatas are the best. One should be aware, however, that the measure numbers are printed at the END of the measure they refer to, which can be very confusing.

Re: Printer Recommendation?

Hi everyone, I've had the LaserJet 5200 for a couple months now, and it's working perfectly. I had a couple issues getting it up and running, but now that it does, it seems like an excellent printer. The manual duplex is very easy to deal with, and the output is great. Thanks again for all your help!

Re: Printer Recommendation?

Manual duplexing is fine by me, and my usual notation software (Dorico) seems to make this really easy. I'm in New York, not London, but if you're interested in selling the printer, I'd be interested in buying it and paying for shipping... Although overseas shipping might be prohibitively expensive...

Re: Printer Recommendation?

Thanks to both of you — this is exactly the information I needed. I'll keep an eye out for a good price on a 5200 and get it when I can.

Thanks again!

Printer Recommendation?

Hello, I'm looking to buy a printer for printing parts and scores. Here are my requirements: • Must be a laser printer, absolutely not inkjet. • Must be able to print 12"×18" minimum. • Must be able to print on both sides (duplex) automatically. (Buying an extra attachment to do this is OK.) It look...
