Re: Examining an old Baerenreiter score
... can you in Dorico choose another font for a selected measure, staff, system? That would be wonderful if possible. For instance, the reduced staff would have bolder noteheads, or entire emboldened font. It is possible and not too difficult in Dorico to change the noteheads of selected notes. You...

But what about the opposite, i.e. several words written under a single note?
Is there a coined term too?

Re: Stave size for a study score?
Maybe the following information can help you. I looked at the few study orchestral scores I own and here are the results: Maurice Ravel - Boléro (Durand) 2,8 mm Maurice Ravel - Concerto pour Piano et orchestre (Durand) 3,2 mm Respighi - Pini di Roma (Ricordi) 2,8 mm Mussorgsky-Ravel - Tableaux d'une...

There are settings for "Short slurs" and "Long slurs".John Ruggero wrote: ↑26 May 2020, 22:08Thanks teacue. Are these settings for two note slurs only? 2.5 setting is good, but I would not want it to apply to three or more-note slurs.
Post an example with three or more-note slurs you would like to see and I can try it in Dorico.

Re: Two-note stem-side slurs and Elaine Gould
Out of curiosity I did a few tests to see how Dorico 3.5 behaves. These are the results changing only one setting in Dorico: "Vertical offset from end of stem" As I was not able to obtain good results trying to get the beginning of the slurs in the left hand further from the notehead, I did not chan...

Re: Dorico 3.1 released
One of the new feature I really welcome is Master Pages export/import. It will save times and it allows to test different master pages layouts. I am a bit disapointed with the added functions for the guitar diagrams. The added functionality is great but I still miss fingerings (either at the bottom ...

Re: Going digital
Distributing my works through PDF is what I do since several years. I always found printing and sending the performance material to be a lot of tedious work. I also usually "personalize" the sended PDFs with watermaks or additional footer added with Acrobat but with Dorico being able to print comple...
