Simply said, a good serif font is in a harmony with musical environment. That being said, the unanswered question is, does such a “sans serif” design exist for music that maintains that cohesiveness with a nice sans serif text font? I'm 99% sure it's one of the same designer's own creation, but also based on the Durand style like Knut's. I haven't heard word if he's planning on making any public release or not.

While it is less traditional, I can’t see it as a problem or incorrect or something a software should intentionally be programmed to NOT do. Why not give flexibility where needed? There’s a lot of modern scores that are waaaaay “worse” than the samples shown here. FWIW, LilyPond handles this effortl...
