I don't agree. Looks too much like a misplaced double-sharp.
I think a better solution is the rhythm dot on both sides of the note (the dot to the left signifying half the value of the dot on the right), although that could be confusing in certain polyphonic situations.

Re: [WORKBENCH] Brahms Op. 119, No. 1
Sometimes if you change the original staff (from upper to lower or vice versa) the situation resolves itself.

Re: John Worley Co. question
This appears to be the composers manuscript. Note the initials at the end.
Are you looking for information on Worley or Rich? The composer has a Wikipedia page. I got a few hits on Worley but they all appear to be historical references.

Re: Composer vs Engravers: Economy
This is fine for a piano part where there can be no doubt of the composer's intention. But what if this was a divisi string staff? I bet that the B-natural would be treated as a grace note. So the "ugly" stem would be necessary. Obviously one would try to avoid a four part divisi on one st...

If they would just include a way to make instrumental cues - even as a kludge.
Good news is that the cross-grade discount has been extended to September, and you are now able to download a demo of 1.1, even if you downloaded a previous demo.

Re: 'Transfering' Finale's spacing into Sibelius
Get Bob Zwalich's note spacing plug-in. It has most, if not all of JW Spacing options plus other options (for example, the ability to expand note spacing by a certain percentage).
Also, its the only way to have several spacing algorithms in the same document.

This is definitely autographed (i.e. hand-written). The slurs were made with french curves.
Beautiful handwriting indeed! I wonder if this could have been done by Langensheidt (sp?) who autographed many of Berg's scores (for instance, the Chamber Concerto)?

Schoenberg is PD in Canada, where the term is life plus 50 years. This is where the server you (probably) found it is based.

Re: Place in score of drum set staff
Actually not so unique. Many of the John Williams Signature Series Suites (Hal Leonard) use this exact method - several copies of percussion score and also individual parts.
