Re: Creating a SMuFL font
I'm glad you like the dynamics! Re the noteheads: Yes, that's bad. 1 space is 250 pt (in font apps), so Bravura's noteheads are +/- 125pt from zero. The Sebastian originals are +/- 147, which is quite a bit bigger, and that's what you're seeing there. I've aimed for +/- 134, to give a slight 'kiss' ...

Re: Creating a SMuFL font
Florian created Sebastian, and I started working on a SMuFL version during a rainy holiday in September. We've been discussing it together. I have adjusted some things: the note flags and flag rests, particularly. Florian created a lot of variations: I've selected what I think are the best. I assemb...

Re: Dorico/Lilypond/SCORE?
I know we've all got time on our hands at the moment, but..... ! Have you seen Tantacrul's video showing you the SCORE workflow? SCORE was fairly expensive - back in the days when software was very expensive. I suspect the only purchases were made by companies, whose copies are now eithe...

Re: Labeling Underlaid Lyrics Derived from Separate Sources
I would try negotiation: "I plan to do this." "No, we'd like you to do it this way." "In order to achieve that, I'd need some accommodation on the word count of the Figs." Could you set it in Short Score to save space? Also: one other thought. Surely the publisher shoul...

Re: Creating a SMuFL font
Beautiful! Is that Sebastian? Here is a sample document designed to show off some of the glyphs in Sebastian. Obviously, it doesn't make musical sense and some aspects of the engraving will be Dorico's own (the lack of optical kerning on the cancellation naturals, for instance, which no app does we...

Re: Labeling Underlaid Lyrics Derived from Separate Sources
TBH, I don't think you would necessarily lose anything of your argument if you just printed the two variants as text, like additional verses of hymns. If you can't put the labels in the "Fig. 1" text, then they do cramp things somewhat.

Re: MuseScore 3.6 - A Massive Engraving Overhaul!
Despite the attention that the flags got, I don't like the flags - particularly the downstem. They look a bit pinched. And various other things.
However, it has made me get back to work on Sebastian, and I hope to be sharing that with you soon. (And I both welcome and dread OCTO's keen eyes....!)

Re: Punctuation and horizontal spacing
Congratulations on the achievement! I'm sure I don't need to tell you how hard it is to get even this far. I don't particularly like the noteheads though: they look a little too big over the staff lines, and yet the black notes seem not wide enough. The white noteheads have possibly too thick a stro...

Re: New Musescore font video
I tried to get hold of SCORE year ago. Having now seen how SCORE works on a practical level, I'm glad I never got the chance. It makes Lilypond look user-friendly! He is right about the process: make the shape, then see how it fits on the page. Rinse and Repeat. Then do that 3000 times...! Spe...
