It certainly is a complex symbol, and one that in my very humble opinion is not often done well. John's looks very nice.

Justifiably famous, I'd say. I wondered if it was Cadence, and it didn't look too far from Sonata (my favorite).

One thing might be very considerable here: why not to create documents with the same fonts? I dislike Finale with Engraver (at this size, perhaps 22 pt is better), and like MuseScore 2 output.
