Re: Dorico Finale Side by Side
I agree that the default look of Dorico is too thick, but then again, I think Finale's default look is too thin, so that part kind of evens out between the two. Sorry to say, but your tweaked slurs look too much like the Finale defaults for my taste; the tips are a bit too thin. I would tell you to...

Re: Dorico Finale Side by Side
I would have to disagree that Finale's default output is better than Dorico's. While both are in need of adjustments, Finale's issues with slur curves and directions, stem lengths, beam angles and line thicknesses are much more glaring to me than the weaknesses of the Dorico example. Re: Fonts for Lyrics
To my eye all of the lyrics in both of the latest samples are much smaller than necessary. With the notes spaced so very wide, the lyrics could be at least 25% larger, and then they’d be more comparable to the size of the notes for legibility. Don’t forget that singers often must focus on the words...

Re: RE: Re: Software recognition, by eye
Btw, I would use different slur settings than yours if you further want to remove the Sibelius-look. I have somewhere pretty nice settings, I need to find them, I can post. slur is one of the things that i dislike on Sibelius :( and it would be nice if you would like to share it I second odod's req...
