Re: [Lilypond] Numerous Questions & Thoughts
Whitcopress' web site says it uses Graphire exclusively for publications, but the site hasn't been updated since 2004. I found a program review in the About this Particular Macintosh ezine from 2001, http://www.atpm.com/7.08/music-press.shtml#43555 , with a reader comment from 2013 by an Ernie Mansf...

Re: [Lilypond] Numerous Questions & Thoughts
In the usenet discussion group rec.music.classical.guitar, in 2004, Richard White said: Graphire is a very small operation. Try writing to Charles Hiestand at Charles@graphire.com He'll tell you anything you need to know. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Music Press is the best kept non-s...

Re: [Lilypond] Numerous Questions & Thoughts
Richard Yates emailed me that he uses Finale. Maybe mmacauley knows something more about the present state of Graphire Music Press. Your thoughtful comments are worth a great deal more than what I paid for them! Thank you.DatOrganistTho wrote:All of this, however, is worth what you paid for it, so take it or leave it.

Re: LilyPond/Denemo or Sibelius?
I thought of that. Version 1.0 will apparently miss some features but they'll be forthcoming, and anyone's v. 1 will have a bug or two but that will be fixed as well. It will probably need a later version of the Mac OS than what I run but I'm going to have to upgrade at some point anyway. But it's a...

LilyPond/Denemo or Sibelius?
I'm considering switching to another notation program and it seems it would be one of these two. I've walked through LilyPond/Denemo and the Sibelius demo and they look okay, but I dread taking the at least three weeks to really learn each one. If I went with LilyPond I'd have to use it through Dene...
