Re: The board is updated

The board was updated two days ago. A conflict occured beetween your browser's offline database storage (that consists of the old forum files) and rendering new data of the new forum. I got total panic also when I saw it for the first time...

Re: SMuFL creation

Our member tisimst will perhaps answer to your questions. He is very experienced in FF. I personally would like to know more about creating music fonts in FF, since FF is really a great software, but I too experience many obstacles in creating fonts for Finale, Sibelius or smufl.

The board is updated

Forum outlook is a bit refreshed.
I hope the new update will work as it did before.
If you see some strange objects, try to reload the page to flush the browser with the updated version.

Re: Typsetting a large MS of mine from 1994/5?

Hmm.. IF you have already done the score and if it is nice-looking, why not to keep it as it is and save time? BUT if you really need it in Finale I would do the following - ONLY IN THE CASE your manuscript is well done by page. It means you have to work by copying each page first, and when done ONE...

Agree. I will wait for Dorico when it fits my needs.

Re: Two-part problem

I would want to keep them on separate staves. If you must combine, you could write the first note of the lower part as two tied :5 … that would at least give you stems. Tying the upper part doesn’t help anything. That is what I first had in mind, but didn't comment since Ben was asking for not chan...

Re: First ending over multiple pages

I think nothing is unusual having the ending line cross multiple systems or pages. I am not sure in your example why is the line going behind the system's border - looks very non-professional. As the rule: nothing should pass over the far-right bar-line, except time signatures; and absolutely nothin...

Re: Text fonts in musical scores

I get it out on my Samsung tablet. Great! But, since any font can be used as a textual font, isn't it a bit waste of energy to list ANY available (or unavailable) font? I would definitely go for some free alternatives at the first place, and give some recomendations. I have seen many terrible font c...
