Re: PDF options for publishers
I would suggest that if you are going to send your PDF parts and score to an orchestra that you not password-protect them. Librarians need to make practice parts for the strings and often need several scores (for assistant conductor, bowings, technical staff, etc.). A professional librarian would ne...

Re: A very dotted note (Notational curiosity vol2.)
Normally I wouldn't either, but this looks so clear and uncluttered that I might make an exception.

Re: Clef for cue notes
Create a blank measure, hide the default rest, make it narrow enough to only show the cautionary clef and adjust measure numbers.

Re: Notesizes in Strauss Don Quixote (Jos. Aibl Verlag / UE)
Recently, I have found it necessary to reduce note size slightly for cramped ledger line notes so the ledger lines don't touch, since Finale doesn't allow for different ledger line lengths in the same document. I believe Robert Patterson has a plug-in (possibly only in a beta version) that does exa...

If they were, they probably would not be able to admit that to you, having certainly signed an Nondisclosure Agreement (NDA).

Re: Making the switch to Dorico?
I am making the switch, although some clients still prefer Sibelius or Finale. Just did a large job for National Symphony and used it for the Harp parts, which would have been a pain in either Finale or Sibelius but were easy in Dorico. Still not comfortable with note entry. I really should remap th...

Re: Binding of scores (loose sheets)
The problem with both these methods is that the music will not lay flat.
For large PDF scores I have used a three hole punch and then put the sheets in a 3 ring binder. However, if I was going to perform from this, I would most likely get it coil bound - it's not that expensive.
