Re: Font SEBASTIANO

By Abraham Lee?

It is nice font, a bit strange, squared, but works nice.
Interesting — now crossover topic with clef design — but check the cautionary :t and different shapes of :s !!!

Do you have a sample? Or link to a PDF?

Re: Notation Programs' Output Comparison

As suggested by tismst, I think that it would be a great project for Notat.io to take on. A few ideas occurred to me to start a discussion of such a project: 1.The chosen piece might: a. be a piano solo to show two clefs, braces etc. b. contain a great variety of symbols and situations c. fill a si...

Re: SCORE?

John, the output at so high resolution is not important. SCORE doesn't use fonts at all. Even if you print with an extreme quality laser printer this oddities cannot be seen.

Re: FontForge and Finale

This file is a test. Finale since version 2012 supports Unicode. The problem is even if I have only slots a-z including the space and the result is the same. SOMETIMES I get it functioning but I am unsure what was the reason for it.

Hello.
Here it is. The font file and the FontForge file.
I installed this font into my Library Font folder. Finale cannot see it.

Re: Notation Programs' Output Comparison

I would agree with John R; there should be a template (InDesign, for instance), with all information around the music, so that it is the same.
Also, use exact Times (for instance) as the main font in music with exact same size would be an additional help.

Re: Different outputs

Correct. This is my test, which is connected and resulted from another thread. IMO, the grace notes and cautionary clefs should be emboldened to correct the BW-balance with the rest of music. Finale and I guess Sibelius don't do this, but just resize everything equally. The difference between thin l...
