It must be a very good reason to have these notes step-down. As a "handwriting" composer I would never do that without a strong purpose, since it is harder to notated it stem-down than just continue as it is. I would definitely use the manuscript version as the True one. A question arises,...

That is very nice, indeed! Now being solely a composer, I have less interest in the harmonic analysis, but in the case I would need for teaching purposes, perhaps learning LP or LaTeX is the way to do it.

Oh, I have completely forgotten this. I will need to prin out that thread in the case MM removes it with their forum lock (Smart music forum has completely vanished). Maybe it is problem with Finale, have you tried using the font in other older versions?

Once I find my font I can attach it here. It was designed for finale 2011, pre-unicode. I have used symbols that I needed, particularly in the media nuts category. I had a lot of trouble with numerous low and high scripts....

I have also tried to make my own font to facilite making my teaching examples, but it is to complex.... I have found out that using latex is easiest way to accomplish that task. But learning latex is not either so easy.
