I would remove the rests in the latter third of the measure as they add visual clutter and the beaming already conveys distribution between the hands.

While I agree that the modem Henle output is decidedly inferior to their previous work, it is also miles ahead of almost every other publisher with the possible exception of Wiener Urtext. Choosing between this or something from even a major esteemed publisher like Bärenreiter's new Beethoven editio...

I agree with OCTO - the standard version looks great, but the light version is much too thin and looks unbalanced on the page.

The International Music Company editions of Fauré, Duparc, etc. mélodies provide a small ambitus below the header and above the first stave of music, which I think is less obtrusive for "individual" compositions or those not in a choral context.

I've used this typeface in the past and honestly cannot attest to ever having issues with "readability" with the symbols that you pointed out.
