I have no problem with slurs crossing through the stem of the flat. In fact, I find the "whiteout" style in the top two examples more visually distracting. I think it's because the slur is relatively short that it kind of looks like a pair of articulations rather than a broken slur. Others...

Actually, the flag crosses all the way through the dot where it is currently positioned. Look very close.
FWIW, you can adjust the symbol position in the symbol editor, but that’s not really the ideal solution.

The only additional thing I'd generally recommend, but also as a bit of a solution to John's #3 issue, is to vertically align the dynamics rather than have them attached directly to notes. That would be a bit more aesthetic and give some of the air the John referred to, at least in the part scores. ...
