Re: Automatic Staff/System Spacing

Thanks, Knut, that's good input!

>That is to say, between the top/bottom of absolute outermost element and top/bottom of innermost element relative to the elements beyond the stafflines.

Automatic Staff/System Spacing

I am currently experimenting with a plugin for automatic staff/system spacing (for Finale). Do you have any suggestions, rules, work processes, ideas of what you would like to see in such a feature ? Here is a short screencam video where 5 systems are spread out on a part's page taking into account ...

Re: Text fonts in musical scores

As I said above, it's not ANY available text font, but only those that I found in existing PDF scores, notation programs or threads on musical text fonts. Re: Text fonts in musical scores

Here is a tiny update: those fonts that are installed on the user's computer are now automatically shown with an example. https://elbsound.studio/text-fonts.php AFAIK "installed font" detection is not really supported by browsers, that's why the script I used shows the wrong font in some c...

For my Finale plugins I needed to compile lists of common music and text fonts in order to get the right semantics of the symbols used. While my music font list is more or less complete now, here is the li...

Re: Music Font Comparison

I have updated the Music Font Comparison to v2.0 . New features are 50 new music font families (about 200 in total), a new contemporary notation example, improved rendering and engraving quality and direct linking (i.e. add ?font=FONTNAME&example=NUMBER to the url and you will get directly to th...

Re: "Urtext Kapellmeister"

I have "Leipzig 1803" from Urtext and assume that Kapellmeister is similar from a technical point of view. An example of Leipzig 1803 can be found here: Vintage Score The package comes with a font similar to Maestro (OTF and TTF), but not 100% compatible, and a number of fonts for Sibelius...
