Re: Sebastian SMuFL font

@benwiggy I think the compromise you made on the flats and other adjustments for 1.0 is really nice, and very mature.

Re: Spontini-Editor (a GUI assistant for making complex scores with Lilypond)

I'd love to help! I'll see what I can do. I'd love to use some other fonts than Emmentaler, but how is that accomplished with this program? I see you packaged Lilypond into the editor. Hello, after meditating about this, I concluded that there's no need to add a helper for embedding fonts with the ...

Re: Sebastian SMuFL font

OK, I think I've brought this font to some kind of working order. There are now 828 glyphs, so enough to cope with a range of music. I'd say the essential character of the font is for clear numerals and alphabet-based symbols: dynamics, C, etc. It's not as heavy as Bravura, but not as washed out as...

Re: Feedback and suggestions on hand-drawn clefs

I cannot stand the ELW hymnal, btw. It's like they kept everything from petrucci and designed clefs without looking.

Re: Spontini-Editor (a GUI assistant for making complex scores with Lilypond)

I'd love to help! What do you need experience wise? Thank you! Currently, the biggest help for me is: 1) testing the installation on macOS 2) testing generally and reporting issues to github with an appropriate label for each issue. Possible labels are: *) bug Something isn't working *) documentati...

Re: Dorico/Lilypond/SCORE?

I know this is late in the thread, but I wanted to make a comment about LilyPond. I've gotten right up to the point of creating modern scores in LilyPond. I've learned how to tweak all of the elements of the page, spacing, etc. I've used it to publish several academic and scholarly projects in recen...

Re: Spontini-Editor (a GUI assistant for making complex scores with Lilypond)

I have been longing for this type of tool for a while. Editing slurs and shapes in LilyPond has been that last hurdle which has sometimes prevented me from finishing a score. I don't have the coding expertise to devise this, but it always made me wonder if someone would make it possible. Well done o...

Re: Scalable Vector Graphics (inkscape, illustrator)

I would be willing to pitch in to have a digital "Note-a-set" where a page of each sign in different rastral sizes can be used depending on what template you use.

I'd honestly be using this for short examples and experimental notation.

Re: Notation program...

Hi Den, I fundamentally disagree. I use Dorico everyday. I don't need a "pause button" because when I press "stop" it stops in the frame/timecode/marker moment where I left it. I'd like to hear how you would address my actual point, which is: How do you know that your way is &qu...
