Hi Fred, In Overture the eighth rest is movable; in mms 8 and 11 I just centered them vertically between notes, with the last rest in m 11 the same as the one before it. IIRC the plurality of scores I've seen, not just from UE, use Times for text. It's not my favorite font: I like Caslon and Baskerville better, among a few others, but Times is certainly legible and fairly compact.
