Re: Font Attempt
odod, I understand your interest in the fonts used by these publishers and desire to personalize your engraving, but not why you seem to imitate other less praiseworthy aspects of these editions. But maybe I am wrong about you doing that. In any case, for me, the personalizing has more to do with d...

Re: Font Attempt
Your engraving has a warm, inviting overall appearance, but seems to be a different font from the previous examples. The black noteheads will appeal to those, like me, who like wider ones. I flags in all of your examples seem OK to me. Thanks for bringing Nepomuk to my attention. It is an excellent...

Re: Font Attempt
odod, I think that your font is fine in all respects. Congratulations! I like the proportions of the accidentals, the clefs, the dynamic signs, the note size and the font used for the expressions. You have a fine default music font. I don't understand your issues using it in Finale etc. Perhaps oth...

Re: What notation program is this?
i think it came from old music notation program .. perhaps Synclavier engraving system, or can you provide the note with flags or other symbols ? Graphire's clef is not like that, it has sharper edge on the Treble clef, somewhere around this forum there was a guy who posted about old music notation ...

Re: Community creates a textual font
I have a GitHub account, but I have never used it - I have no idea how it works. I have one too, and I'm not quite sure how it works either. :( :) But I would offer to look into it and create that repository. Unless someone else is experienced with that kind of thing..? i think tisimst aka Abraham ...

Re: A case for slab serifs in music
your EDITION PETERS looks a bit problematic with the kerning or spacing, the spacing between P and E, D iti on .. or maybe my monitor resolution I don't see the problem in print from the pdf, so I think this must be a display/hinting issue. In any case, I didn't design the sans serif font, so I hav...

Re: A case for slab serifs in music
BTW: The music font is my own. It is actually based on hand-engraved scores by Peters, though not from the particular time and in the particular style used in the score that Schonbergian referred to. the G clef looks like SCORE or Partita font .. but i prefer this one I agree about the SCORE compar...
