Re: Flat slurs
Hi Peter, for years I created complete flat slur (tie) font, however it is useless for more situations because of two main and few another reasons: 01. it is flat all the time. It could not be slanted (this way as it is dedicated for use with smart shapes 02. smart shapes do not respect any Font Ann...

Re: Flat slurs
The real solution — that means without any extra work as adding 2 slurs joined by straight line, or custom font as Peter mentioned ("DSE ... 01b" – which I created for Durands some 4-y.ago) would be if Finale slur allows adding an extra anchor point. 6 instead of 5. This will be an adventu...

Re: VIDEO: Resized staff and symbol sizes
Here is the second Video. It is dedicated to the so called "Rounded ledger lines". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQ3pHmVgzI4&feature=youtu.be This video is not slowed down. I am very tired at the moment and that is why the gesture of the mouse are not very precise and a bit shaky. In...

Re: Resized staff and symbol sizes
Thank you your positive attitude, JOHN and OCTO, right now I am preparing a short video tutorial how to do this. Once the PS file is ready the whole procedure is almost 2 minutes including saving the new file. About the roundness – this is another trick performed in Illustrator, but everyone can app...

"C---0.085...Maestro LITE ORG " represents the picture of how the score looks in Finale before the manipulation. "B---0.085... MAESTRO" shows the music engraved with the original Maestro font – for reference. "B---0.085 mm outline 7 vs 5 mm STAFF Maestro LITE.pdf" is th...

Re: Resized staff and symbol sizes
Dear OCTO, it is time to share with you and our colleagues the result of my last experiment which goal was to eliminate the lack of correspondence between small and normal staff elements when these both staves must be placed in one and the same page. As a source file I used a piano reduction. Just f...

Re: Braces
Dear John, I lead an attempt to solve this issue and here it is. PIANO BRACE 70% staff.png And now you can see how it works. Both staves on a grand staff are close enough. Even though there are no significant distortions. However, if you go to opposite – applying huge distance between both staves, t...
