Re: Font feedback
Actually, font "designs" are not copyrighted, just like any other piece of art is not copyrighted. What _is_ copyrighted is the digital data that makes up the font you actually use. It is also not technically illegal to re-outline the glyphs from a copyrighted font that have been physicall...

Re: Alignment of (double) whole notes
Sorry. They ARE left-aligned, but the stems are ignored. So, it's the normal notehead parts that are aligned. That's what I meant to say.

Re: A font from a obsolete notation program
That could be arranged if anyone wanted to sponsor the effort... [emoji6] I admit that I'm kind of swamped at the moment, but this could be an interesting project in the future.DatOrganistTho wrote:I know @tisimst would love to convert it over the LilyPond

Re: Alignment of (double) whole notes
FYI, here's LilyPond's default; it seems to align left. It's not exactly "left-aligned". The glyphs in LilyPond fonts are encoded such that the vertical short stems are farther left than the left side of the notehead itself. The SMuFL standard allows the same thing. Sent from my iPhone us...

Re: A font from a obsolete notation program
Hi, tisimst Thank you for your reply. I tried to collect all symbols but the program was used around 1980 until 1990..., and I changed/redesigned though some characters. (C-Clef, noteheads and so on) I could you send a character list, if you want. This program was first designed by a dane and then ...

Re: A font from a obsolete notation program
It's not a bad design. Do you have the entire font? I've never heard of the program...

Re: Font feedback
As others have mentioned, you are definitely to be congratulated, Knut! The italic font design looks very nice, but I'm inclined to agree with Fluffeh's assessment about its weight. If possible, I would recommend thinning it down. It just seems unnecessarily too black, like if I had used a "cap...

Re: [Lilypond] Optical spacing
Yes, the optical spacing is automatic, but can be turned on/off at-will. What is programming setting-rule of the optical spacing in LP? LilyPond's optical spacing is governed by a handful of tweakable properties. Normally, spacing is NOT truly proportional, but more generally based on the width of ...
