Re: Clef design comparision
And now I would like to share with you guys, my favourite G-clef. G-clef Font Vintage 3.png ______________________________ Can you guess who is the publisher? BTW, the staff lines drawn in grey are very, really very close to the original (as width) —> 0.09 — 0.114 space. ____________________________...

Re: Various Line Settings
I think that this direction (using "space" as units for measuring lines) is not perfect. From one hand all the music we input is locked to the scale factor and space is good solution. But the reason of my hard objection is based on the next facts: all sheet music utilise only the so called...

[Lilypond] Numerous Questions & Thoughts
@Pierre @tisimst @Knut and all other colleagues who work mainly with LilyPond: I have a very sincere question to you friends: "Why do you prefer LilyPond since there are many other application – most of them you know for sure and even better than me, because I specialised only in Finale?" ...

Absolutely!John Ruggero wrote: Wess, it seems that you and Peter are in essential agreement about the approx. .1 spaces for staff lines.
All settings that you can see from both attached screenshots are already tested and in use for years.

Re: Staff line thickness
Dear John, all values in both (screenshots) tables I've attached are in centimetres and they refer for 7 mm staff hight, however the same settings work rather well with 5 mm staff too. As Peter West suggests, for very tinny staff (4 mm) the value advisably could be multiplied by "1.25" Bes...

Re: [Tutorial] Flat slurs in Inkscape
Dear OCTO, Thanks for this video tutorial. I hope it will be very helpful for most of our colleagues. I would only add, that this procedure must be done once the complete score has been proof read and finally corrected. In case one day you need to fix some notes and so on, the better solution is to ...

EDIT last night I wrote this treat into wrong section. After a brief talk with our host Mr. Zivkovic I accept "a prima vista" his suggestion to establish a new treat. I hope it may concern some of you. Thank you for your reading. Wess ___________ Dear Colleagues, together with my interest ...

Re: Fantastic old scores' simulation + fonts
Dear tisimst, I have seen your font, of course and analysed it, though I am mostly Finale user. Talking about your "Beethoven" font and considering that you work on Lilypond, I do respect the convenient way you can insert 75% size mid-G-clef (special shape!), that in Finale of Sibelius mus...

Re: Fantastic old scores' simulation + fonts
Dear Octo, thank you for your contribution and positivity at my huge work on this Henle-like font. About the software: Finale (2012) for input Illustrator only to convert (expand) all text and strokes to path (shapes) Photoshop – for vintage effect (blurring staff, ink and so on). Most of the time,...
