Re: Notation fonts
I am elated at Abraham Lee's work in this area. His fonts are some of the highest quality fonts I've ever used. When I used LilyPond mostly, I reached for his fonts more than the standard fonts. We are incredibly lucky to have talented folks like him in this industry to raise the bar after such a lo...

Re: Nightingale source code
Is Nightingale worth it? I looked up examples, and I just can't get into it's fonts. Also, is the Windows version still be developed, or is it abandonware at this point?

Re: Going digital
I work with a composer as their sole publisher. He has a few works which he only wants printed, while others only digital. He has a policy, though: You have to order a minimum of 10 copies of his octavos. That's it. This makes it so that I can run to the print shop and print them off and bind them a...

Re: Bärenreiter Urtext (English version)
For snorts and giggles, I decided to try this out on Dorico. This image/pdf is without any manual tweaking yet, just copying notes, articulations, and matching spec (with exception to staff/stem/curve thickness/fonts etc). I'm going to do another pass for other mistakes. Here's the breakdown of tim...

Re: Bärenreiter Urtext (English version)
So that everyone is reminded: https://musescore.org/en/node/249356 Baerenreiter has published work made in Musescore, FEI. In my opinion it looks just OK, but nothing particularly beautiful. I would do it differently. I'm replying to the fact that you've said, "as for Barenreiter, it's a no-no...

Re: Bärenreiter Urtext (English version)
Whether or not you like the engraving is beside the point.
The point I'm making is that MuseScore is at least capable of adhering to professional style guides (albeit, with lots of tweaking).
It is at least readable, compared to default output in Finale, or MuseScore, for that matter.

Re: [puzzle] Two voices in one staff
You both have the same clef, but in different software. Looks like old SCORE (or Vienna, Wolfgang, Scorlatti), what is yours? Schneider, do you break the tie directly in LP? I'm surprised no one has said yet, but it's Scorlatti from MTF. Abraham Lee modeled it after SCORE. I eagerly await the day t...
