No tiff-pictures

Post by Pentatonus » 08 Oct 2015, 11:12

Hello,

i recognized, that in posts with attachments of tiff-pictures, they are not shown. Other file-types like png or jpg show up.
Is it a general problem or just on my system (Linux Kubuntu 15.04, Chromium)?

Thank you,
Pentatonus

Disabling TIFF

Post by OCTO » 08 Oct 2015, 12:32

Yes, the same. It doesn't work in all browsers, NOT in Chrome and NOT in Firefox.

What we can do is to completely disable TIFF upload, and to have just safe files.

Or if anyone else know how to fix it, let me know.

OK, because some of you have already uploaded TIFF, I will just enable TIFF as a document (=download only, not embedding).

OCTO,I just changed my embedded images to gifs with reduced file size, because some were not showing up in the text. Could you please list the file types and sizes allowed to be embedded and attached?

It is possible to embed:
.gif
.jpg
.jpeg
.png

All others extensions are possible to attach as documents, including .pdf .mus .sib .ai .zip an so on.

I highly recommend jpeg/jpg and png as embedded pictures
