Yet, that is exactly what is happening around the world. You are designing an awfully restrictive regime. You complying with conventions and treaties does not make you immune to the point of fact, that this pushes an intellectual agenda scrupulous only of favorable politics according to copyright holders.

The restrictions of © are affecting mostly the freedom of speech and freedom for truth. As Joost Smiers writes, the big corporations (here publishers) will not only restrict what should be published but also what should NOT be published.
If everything is in PD (this is a heaven-world well...) that all works should be equal in front of the customers.
