There are also the different contexts of system break and page break. In the former, as in one of your examples, the repeated arrow doesn't seem absolutely necessary, while when ending a page, to me, it seems more needed, or informative.

Hmm... I have left this topic off for a while in order to "become" more objective. Indeed, when I see it now, I agree with you Anders.
Furthermore I think that it would be perhaps even better to put the arrow in a parenthesis such as:
