OS X Finale autosave script

Post by OCTO »

I currently use
- Autosave Script (this hits Cmd+S), attached
- ChornoSync (with archive handling)

Having both programs run at 5 minutes intervall, I create automatic versioning (999+ versions). I can simply go back in time and check exactly when something was done improperly, or to return to previous ideas that have been deleted.

Autosave in Finale is not the same as Cmd+S.

Just to add to this: I've been using an app called ForeverSave2, which can be configured per app to save individual versions at a given time interval, kept for so many days.
It's saved my bacon a couple of times, where I had the "magic disappearing lyrics" bug, and not noticed, and then continued adding to the document. I was able to dig out a version from two hours previously, and copy over the lyrics while keeping my new work.

I am happy to hear you have survived. Finale autosave preserves only one copy, unfortunately.
This app seems to be very good, thanks for sharing.

Yes, indeed, thank you. I think I'll get this (in late May after various trips away).
