I like "Home, Notate, Sequence, Publish". That's a good idea.

And moving the Transport controls from the middle to top right, with a Score/Parts drop-down in the top middle, provides a nice interface.

Blue highlighting on a Black background works well, I think.

Zoom, View mode, and Concert Pitch setting in a status bar at the bottom is clear and easy to find. And that mixer icon is ideal!

Familiar DAW-style interface for the 'Sequence' tab.

How does this Tantacrul guy come up with this revolutionary stuff?

I suppose it helps to study what all the other failed apps are doing wrong. Unbelievable...

But is it just me or does the Musescore window actually look more polished? Less noisy?

No, I think it's muted to the point of being indistinct.

Well, polished is not necessarily the same as practical. Though I do think that the Dorico UI could use a liiittle bit of fine tuning here and there. I can't quite pinpoint why I still feels a bit clumsy at times...

I’ve taken a look at the other screenshots... it all looks like pretty designs made in InDesign. We’ll see what it looks like when they actually release something. Not sure they're doing themselves a favour by broadening the feature set.
