Notations 21

Post by OCTO »

An interesting book, rather for looking examples than for anything else. It could be interesting for people looking for new notation styles or other exotic examples.
However, the print quality could be a bit better, anyway I can recommend it.

I agree it looks cool, but the decimal in the price needs to jump one spot to the left before I can consider it.

It seems to be marginally cheaper at £312 (US$420) on the Amazon UK web-site. This might suggest the possibility of a negotiated price, although still likely to be rather a lot.

Oh... it must be out of print and people are just reselling it. I think it was far lower, perhaps 1/10 of that price when I bought it more than 5 years ago...

Bumping an old thread because I thought this was hilarious! Here's what Amazon was recommending to me today:

Image

Laptop computers: Fair, mine is too old for Windows 11
Flatware sets: ??? Um, Notations 21 is a pretty cool out of print book, but definitely not a flatware set.
Men's novelty shirts: "Maybe you should practice" Dang, that's just cold. Fine, down to the Whisper Room I go, LOL!
