Repetition line

Reading E Gould's book about newer techniques, Chapter 20 "Freedom and choice" (p607), she speaks about wavy and straight lines to indicate a free repetition.
However, I am not sure exactly what is difference between these two.
I use also a dashed straight line. My setup is like that:

I use also a dashed straight line. My setup is like that:
- Wavy = repetition of a phrase
- Line = held tones and boxes that include phrase
- Dashed line = held tones and boxes where both of them include free breaks (small fermatas, or free rests).
