Re: On the use of tablets and BT page turners
Three questions: - Does anybody have issues with reflected lights, glare, etc? - Who provides the iPads? Re: On the use of tablets and BT page turners
I just started with a production last night and all of the orchestra are using iPads for the music.
One plus is that the copies are coming with adequate time for manual page turns, so most of us aren't even using foot pedals for page turns.

Re: Dorico development issue
I've always (since my teens in the 1950s) labelled instrument changes twice. Initially at the first available rest with ‘take Cor Anglais’ (or whatever) and then again (without ‘take’) immediately before or at the first playing of the new instrument. I can't remember which orchestral player advised...

Re: unison wih different value noteheads, question
If you're worried, you can add a sharp in parentheses below the lower note's stem.

Re: circa
K. Stockhausen has something like 93.6 markings, I believe he wants to get EXACT tempo transition (ratio). For me that's a reminder of the sad times when composers tried to be scientists. As if being a musician wasn't enough. For every composer that tries to reinvent notation my response is always ...
