Today I went to look at the Finale Forum (https://www.finaleforum.com), but it was not viewable on my computer, and I am wondering if anyone else can view it? Hopefully, it's just a temporary outage.
Cheers,
Hector.

Re: Should I subdivide the beaming?
Ah I see. If I remember correctly, the conductor beats quarter notes here, so I'll take your advice and beam it as in the first version.
Thanks as always!

Should I subdivide the beaming?
Hi all, I need some advice about whether or not to subdivide the beaming in the final crotchet beat of my 4/4 bar. I had a look at Gould p.154, but I'm still not quite sure whether I should subdivide it or not. Not subdivided: Screen Shot 2024-09-07 at 2.35.42 pm.png Subdivided: Screen Shot 2024-09-...

MOLA Conference 2024
Greetings all, The 42nd conference of the Major Orchestra Librarians' Association is being hosted by the Cleveland Orchestra this weekend. The Agenda outlines some fascinating talks/sessions, including many that I suspect would be of interest to those here on the notatio forum. Here's the link to th...

Re: Single note tremolo stem length
Hi NeeraWM, thanks! ah yes I see it now. As I am not expert in that area, I can only imagine it is something to do with the screen displaying the font... My display resolution is 30-inch (2560 × 1600). When I print my PDF it looks fine, and it looks perfect when I zoom right in on my PDF, but yes I ...

Re: Single note tremolo stem length
Thanks for your reply NeeraWM. 1. That is a very good question. I was curious about that as well. The Finale tremolo symbol that I used is the default version. I would prefer the tremolo to sit/straddle more artistically. It might have something to do with my staff size % reduction (it's a reduced s...

Single note tremolo stem length
Hi everyone, After reading Gould p.222, I tried to improve on Exhibit A. Does Exhibit B look right? Any other improvements that I should make to Exhibit B? PS: The reason that the tie stops short of the note is because there are hidden playback notes (flutter tongue). I will delete the hidden notes ...
