I have a related issue. The current version of the second staff shows where I moved the downstem note away from the upstem's dot so as not to collide. unison1.jpg The old version shows where I moved the downstem in front of the upstem's notehead. unison2.jpg I'm not happy with either; any suggestions?

I totally agree with Anders.

Most of us use ForScore, which allows us to make extensive annotations (including dynamic, bowing, etc. in addition to text, drawing).

Three questions: - Does anybody have issues with reflected lights, glare, etc? - Who provides the iPads? Are the performers required to bring their own? - Is there any kind of a backup system if an iPad goes down? These have been the three issues that kept my jobs on paper. Personally, I don't have...

I just started with a production last night and all of the orchestra are using iPads for the music.

One plus is that the copies are coming with adequate time for manual page turns, so most of us aren't even using foot pedals for page turns.

I would start with dashed ties and then throw in a sim. if it's used a lot in the piece.

You can also put in an explanatory note in the score/affected parts.

I tend to stack them vertically.
