Re: Finale 27.4 released

However I find the output much more pleasant than in Sibelius I have ever managed to make. It might be the fonts, the spacing algorithm or definition of shapes and curves. Re: I am really having problems with this slurs

Just be careful that the endpoint of the slur doesn’t cross the ledger lines, otherwise the S-shaped solution is very good. Great point, @MalteM.
In this specific case I would put the hairpins below, since in the middle they would require too much fiddling with background erasing.

Re: What a difference a line makes!

I've recently proofread a score whose manuscript made no difference between hyphen and extension underscore... the fact it was not in my native tongue made it unnecessarily complex!

Sadly not all softwares allow for creation of slur-like tuplet brackets.

Re: unison wih different value noteheads, question

If one has to be chosen, it would be the "unison1" version for me.
Condensing-wise, you could have Horns I-II-IV together and III alone.

Re: string quad-stop question

When a string player—in my case, cellist—is taught about chords, we start by saying that we cannot play more than 2 strings at a time, and we therefore need some "escamotage". If 3 notes it should be either 2+2 with the middle in common or 1+2 (bass + 2 top). Very seldom we have 2+1 (2 low...

Re: String indicator for strings

I'm quite surprised there's been no intervention to this.
As a cellist who has grown up with "sul..." and Roman numerals, this was a breakthrough!
And it's in a relatively modern time, 1830, when notation was already very similar to ours!
