If the final note of the gliss. and the rest in the upper staff were aligned vertically, it would be fine as written. Gould ("Behind Bars" p. 145) suggests placing a small note of the proper duration above the staff (possibly in parentheses) to show the duration of the gliss. within the s...

What's the standard practice for this situation:

Gliss. starts in middle of 1st m. and extends to middle of 2nd m.?
