Re: Tuplet values
Perhaps the 3 was a misreading of a badly drawn 8 in the manuscript....?

Tuplet values
We're in 9/8. This bar has 8 demisemiquavers (32nds?) in the time of 12; but the tuplet is marked "3".
.
Surely it should be 2, or 4, or 8...?.

The Stravigor?
I've heard it said that Igor Stravinsky invented this wheeled rastrum, so he could write staff lines on any paper. The outbreak of WW1 meant he didn't patent it.

Re: SCORE-based fonts
Coming back to this old thread. Nostalgia for SCORE glyphs seems over-rated, IMV. The C and cut C symbols are awful - very square. Tuplet numbers are not italic, and 'computery'. Ottava symbols are like 'normal' italic text. Screenshot 11.png The clefs, noteheads and accidentals are lovely, I'll gra...

Re: Dorico development issue
Is it then something you create as a user from a text editor capable of XML saving/reading or can you create it from within Dorico? I believe that is not documented, right? When editing the few scripts I have created I wondered if there were a list of commands the users could browse through to crea...

Re: Dorico development issue
To be sure I understand: is the doricolib something like Sibelius House Style, that you drop into Library Manager and import what you need? Dorico uses XML under the hood to describe and store most of its data: this includes Expression maps, Engraving Options etc; but also notation objects like cle...

Re: Dorico development issue
one post 14 months ago I listed 20 requests with what I thought were very detailed descriptions, and almost the entire list pretty much still stands as requests. #10 made it into Dorico 5 so that can be crossed off. #12 did for roots but not suffixes... I get it. The dev team is shorthanded, plus t...

Re: Trouble with ties
Oh, I suppose you just moved the anchors...! Dorico has a variety of S-shaped options in the properties for Slurs, and they're not included for Ties.

Re: Trouble with ties
Many thanks, all. It's an organ part, rather than piano, btw.
I think I rather like the S-curve, though sadly, Dorico doesn't offer that for ties, only slurs; the LV ties would also work, though I'd prefer a longer tie that was 'erased' where it got in the way.

Trouble with ties
Can anyone suggest the best way to draw a tie in this situation? Screenshot 6.png It's essentially the same issue in both staves of a keyboard part. Is this as good as I'm going to get? To me eye, if both ties (across both bars) are not the same, they don't look like a continuation of the same thing...
