Re: Clef design comparision
I have never seen a treble clef that I have loved without reservation, and Fred's group is no exception. Is it possible that the symbol is simply impossible to make beautiful? I totally agree. I think that Sonata and Engraver has the most balanced shape. Both are in my opinion a bit small. Knut, wh...

Re: 12/8 Question
I remember playing Wagner's Tannhäuser overture: in the first violins (and others as well) there is a place with falling :2 in enormous quick tempo, three or four pages, I can't remember now. We all players had beats written down, since just beats should be noticed, the :2 are to be filled automatic...

Re: Clef design comparision
For :t My favorites (in favorite order): 2, 5, 7. 2 and 7 are very similar. I have used mostly 2 and 5. 5 is somewhat small, but very balanced. I almost don't notice it - it can quickly be "digested"... If I can vote for the most ugly it is 3 and 4. 3 - very thin and "strange" in...

Re: Simplify notes
It depends of tempo. How quickly goes one ?
I think it would go like that, but some experts in the baroque ornaments should confirm.

Re: No tiff-pictures
It is possible to embed:

.jpg
.jpeg
.png
All others extensions are possible to attach as documents, including .pdf .mus .sib .ai .zip an so on.
I highly recommend jpeg/jpg and png as embedded pictures

Re: No tiff-pictures
OK, because some of you have already uploaded TIFF, I will just enable TIFF as a document (=download only, not embedding).

Disabling TIFF
Yes, the same. It doesn't work in all browsers, NOT in Chrome and NOT in Firefox.

What we can do is to completely disable TIFF upload, and to have just safe files.
Or if anyone else know how to fix it, let me know.

Now I have carefully checked what is stated in her book, and I personally see it as a default (standard), which should be followed.dspreadbury wrote:We are basically following the rules proposed by Gould for rest grouping in compound time signatures,

Re: Quarter rest design
Interesting discussion. I would love for you to comment on the design of the rests from my own music font. Absolutely amazing. For me it looks like "softened Engraver" or "emboldened Maestro", but in both cases the soft edges, and good boldness makes it very pleasant. Here are q...
