What constitutes a pair, exactly? Do I have to do it for every combination of two numbers?
I think it would probably be quicker to adjust the chord suffix libraries.

Re: Problems with Sebastian-FigBass
Unfortunately, I don't think there is a remedy for this problem on the font side of things, except modifying the font, substituting zero width glyphs for negative kerning pairs, which of course is a lot of work. Well, I only use 1-9 and the augmented numbers 4+, 6\ etc, so it might be a possibility...

Re: Problems with Sebastian-FigBass
It's simply a display issue at > 300%. They re-appear with a Redraw, but won't appear as you scroll around. The document prints fine. MM have confirmed to me that it's Finale's problem with displaying characters that have zero width. I don't mind changing my existing documents, but if there's an eas...

Problems with Sebastian-FigBass
I've been using the Sebastian Figured Bass font, which is available here: https://github.com/fkretlow/sebastian However, when I use it in Finale, the numbers disappear from the screen when I zoom in to more than 300%..! I've discovered that the reason for this is because the characters have zero wid...

Re: Finale: fine-tuning Music spacing
well, in my settings I reduced it to only 2 EVPU. why? just type 4 eight's with an accidental in one of them, you'll see that in not so much crowded score the spacing between them is changing because of the accidental. Yes, I certainly think that different values work better for different types of ...

Re: Finale: fine-tuning Music spacing
If you've locked the systems, it doesn't affect the pages. I think that what it does is to give more room to things that are close together, at the expense of things that are further apart. So in the example above, the minims get less space and the beamed notes get more.

Re: Finale: fine-tuning Music spacing
Here's the offending passage: top is 6pt; bottom is 3pt. I presume it's more of a reference value (on the full size staff?) rather than actually putting 6pt around everything, which would be mad.

Finale: fine-tuning Music spacing
This may be well known to some, but here's a useful trick/feature that I hadn't really paid much attention to until now. In Document Options > Music Spacing, there's an setting for "Minimum Distance between Items". The default value is 3pt (12 EVPUs). I had a system with lots of beamed not...

Re: "Urtext Kapellmeister"
Thanks. The samples are nice, but they do "evoke a historical feel", as you say.

"Urtext Kapellmeister"
Has anyone used the "Kapellmeister" and other fonts from "Urtext Music Software"?
They look quite nice, but there's not enough information there, and the pages also talk about "coming in 2013".
