Re: [WORKBENCH] Brahms Op. 119, No. 1
I think that your font is a remarkable piece of work, odod, but I will let our font experts comment further if they wish. I do notice that the sharp symbol looks a little compressed for my taste, and the piano brace could be improved, in my opinion, by bringing the "nose" in just a little;...

It looks great. By your "own font" do you mean one that you designed yourself or a commercially available one? It looks familiar to me, but I am not sure what it is.i am using Sibelius with my own font (i hope it looks okay)

Re: [puzzle] Two voices in one staff
Knut said: That would depend on the context, wouldn't it? Sorry. My error. I didn't take OCTO's "voice 1" to mean "primary voice" for some reason; probably because it didn't seem to be. If the moving voice is the secondary voice then your and OCTO's stemming is, of course, the co...

Re: [puzzle] Two voices in one staff
I tried it at first also with voices swapped and definitely didn't like it. The primary voice should have stems up because the octaves are so low on the staff. Had they been higher, I would agree with you.

Re: [WORKBENCH] Brahms Op. 119, No. 1
Hi odod. You are off to an excellent start. What software and fonts are you using? What stands out immediately, besides what Knut mentioned, is: 1. the first line should be indented 2. wrong notes on line 4 measure 4 3. spacing issues because of the cross-staffing in measure 1-3 and several other pl...

Re: Steinberg Dorico
That Fred got his feature request even before the program has appeared is a very good sign!
Open source users like DatOrganistTho take it for granted that "it will get fixed eventually". Users of non-open source software have often not had that experience and therefore are not so sure...

Re: SMuFL creation
Thanks for starting this, OCTO. And thanks to Knut and tisimst for offering their valuable insights. Given the current situation with Dorico impending, this is a very important thread.

I totally agree, David.
In an ideal notation program, the general user would be well taken care of, and the specialist would feel unconstrained. I hope Dorico is that program.
