You might consider to add PriMus. The sample page has been provided by Andreas in this post:

Re: Composers vs Engravers: Stems and Slurs part 6
The french edition shown in your post even slurs the descending bass line to the first beat, which I regard as simply wrong. I fully agree with your considerations.

Re: Looking for commentary on some of my work
Lyrics extenders still missing in system one. I think it is indeed debatable for short lines (from which length on should they be drawn?).
Gut here the "te" and "ne," go over 4-5 notes, so I would not leave them out. It also would be inconsistent to other parts of the score.

In case you were german speaking I would also recommend this: Herbert Chlapik: Die Praxis des Notengraphikers: Wie entstehen unsere Noten? https://www.amazon.de/Die-Praxis-Notengraphikers-entstehen-unsere/dp/3900035962 Not as comprising and detailed as Gould but a rather compact and well written int...

Re: Looking for commentary on some of my work
Nice work! I particularly like the somewhat ancient appearance. Just two comments: 1. To make it perfect you could add some missing lyrics extenders (after "te" in bars 2,3 etc., after "-ne," in bars 6,10,..) 2. There is room left for an additional staff on the last page. If you ...

Re: Middle-line stem direction
...that the stem direction of a note on the middle line varies depending on the melody direction. ... You mean in a certain, algorithmic way? Or trying to avoid too much flipping of stems? What I perceived so far is: generally draw those stems downwards. In vocal scores draw them generally upwards....

Re: Composers vs Engravers: Stems and Slurs part 5
That's how Peters (Ed. Scholtz/v. Pozniak) does it: http://i.imgur.com/VPHx6al.jpg I prefer it because I think it is more prominent and obvious. Opposed to that the S-shaped slur is subject to more "optical competition", interferring with the stafflines and beeng squeezed between lots of n...

Re: Slurs direction in vocal music
I face problems with slurs that, by default placed under music, collide with lyrics (as in with low notes in Alto). Do you think it is OK to place slurs ABOVE (not default) to minimize clutter and collisions with lyrics? Yes, as an exception it is helpful and ok to place slurs above to avoid collis...
