Re: MuseScore 4.2 Released
but I know they are a VERY much requested addition to Dorico. Can't Dorico create cutaway?? Yes, MuseScore can with a click create cut-away staffs. But in my experience, after doing one large vocal score and one large orchestral score in Sibelius, that Finale's "Staff Styles" are one of t...

Re: MuseScore 4.2 Released
MuseScore goes into the right direction.
The only things I am missing right now are:
- support for custom lines, boxes and shapes.
- partial SVG export, and SVG export that gives 100% size (not 800%).

It could be also that the first thing he wrote is the last two measures (without the first beat when "piano). He could imagine a cadence before, wrote finishing phrase of two voices. And then proceed with writing the tuplet in the first measure (of the example). Of course, you explanation is al...

Re: Finale 27.4 released

Re: fingered tremolo
In your example: https://notat.io/download/file.php?id=4002 - the first viola, first slur is a typical Finale (and other software) slur appearance: the slur's direction is downwards and the notes are going upwards. That could be edited. - the second viola, the slur can cross the flat's symbol stem. ...

Re: Finale 27.4 released
I have just opened a Finale file in 3 years (of trying Sibelius) and I am - lost. I have forgotten it totally.
Still not yet tried Dorico.
