Re: Inkscape crashing
This was not a file from Finale. And the file is not corrupted because it works fine in the Inkscape 0.48.5. And it happened on many nodes and situations.

Re: Font collections
At one point in the interview, Stephen Carisse says he uses CorelDraw to design his fonts, but then mentions Adobe InDesign as a font-designing option. That must have been a mistake, right? Adobe Illustrator, perhaps? And he makes no mention of the various high powered font design tools. Very strange.

Re: Courtesy clef size
OCTO, that was my first thought as well. There are different tastes and situations involved here and multiple options would be nice. In looking over the first Brahms example, I do see a crowding issue involving both bass clefs. But this could have been easily avoided with better spacing. The c clefs...

Re: Inkscape crashing
Thanks, tisimist. I was using Inkscape 0.91 Mac mini (OS 10.8.5) with dual monitors XQuartz 2.7.8 I am now back to using .91 without further issues. The file that started having problems was the result of many duplications, since I save each new version as a new file. I wonder if that has something ...

Re: Courtesy clef size
Wonderful! The bass clef is probably a little easier to make touch the top line.

Re: Courtesy clef size
Knut, I think that your 80% and 75% clefs work well. If only they could actually touch the bottom line! If you moved them down and uncoiled and emboldened the spiral a little more…? The Breitkopf seem to work because they are more bold and this gives more wiggle room.

Re: Courtesy clef size
Here is another Brahms example. (This treble clef seems to be used for the piano music throughout the Complete Works.) As Knut has said, the small clef is a different shape. It barely touches the bottom line which allows it to circle the G line. The bass clef is also a different shape and just kisse...

Re: Inkscape crashing
Here is an example of a streak produced by simply moving a node. Its the dark diagonal, not the blue guide lines. After making streaks like this and worse, then the whole clef disappears leaving only the nodes, then the program can just close abruptly. I now save after every edit. Mac mini (OS 10.8....

Inkscape crashing
All of a sudden, Inkscape is making streaked black lines when I edit nodes and often crashing. Didn't have the problem yesterday with the same files. Is this typical behavior? I did upgrade to the latest version of XQuartz a few days ago. Anyone else having similar issues after upgrading?
