Re: Clef for cue notes

Ok, then, does anyone know how to do it in Finale 25?
I only can manage it using the cue clef as an expression, the clef tool has the option of placing chef changes after the barline, but doesn't work at the beginning of a system.

Clef for cue notes

Hi everyone, I have this situation: In an arrangement of piano variations for chamber ensemble, a cello is tacet in one of them, and the next starts with cue notes from violin, using :t. Should a cautionary clef change be placed a) at the end of the previous variation? b) right after the key signatu...

Re: First attempt on "serious engraving"

Thanks Octo. The pdf was created in legal size by mistake, but it is a letter size page.
Please point out an example for possible repositioning, so far it was very difficult to get an acceptable layout.

Re: First attempt on "serious engraving"

Hi again. Here there are two more samples of the caprices. I made the files using an older version of Finale, and when opening the file in my current version, many items got messed, so since I didn't have pdf's for all I had to scan the printed copy I have for one of them. Aside from what you've alr...

Re: [puzzle] Slur solutions 2

OCTO wrote: 07 Mar 2016, 12:56 I have edited these settings but a while ago (some years).
I see that slurs options are modified on a per-document basis (finale 2014). Is there a way to set them as a default setting?
Would you mind sharing other slur related settings? (positioning maybe?)

Not sure why, but sometimes dense pages make more sense than loose. Maybe I cannot call it clutter!
What do the curves after second A and D indicate?

First attempt on "serious engraving"

Hello, I have just joined this forum, and it is amazing and very addictive! Please take note I'm not a native English speaker. As an amateur cellist and engraver, I've used Finale for several years but always working on small arrangements, copying parts for musician friends, but so far without produ...
