Re: Espressivo font

ADDON, concerning"e"
In my humble opinion the left side has much more power than the right side.

Re: Espressivo font

Knut, I agree that the legibility of the serifs are better with the contrasts, i love these in books, my favorite is Modern20. But I believe that it should be less when using in music. For instance, why aren't the text signs on roads (for drivers) serifs if it is more legible? Because of the distanc...

Re: Espressivo font

Screen shot 2016-01-07 at 7.43.27 AM.png In my opinion it is much more balanced now... I would like even less bold bold-strokes and more fat thin-strokes. Here questions: 1. Sould the :me in text and dynamics be tha same size/shape? Maybe more bold dynamics and a bit "compressed" horizont...

Re: Espressivo font

Anyway, do you find the text font to be too bold, or the secondary dynamic characters to be too thin? If you are asking everyone, not just John, I would say that if you make the textual font less bold and more fat on thin lines it would be, in my opinion, more balanced - within itself and with the ...

Re: Composers vs Engravers: slurs and ties

I would agree that if slurs are to long, they could be broken on a tie. Perhaps, "molto legato" could be used as well. But I also see your strong point in even shorter slurs, in your example particularly the first and third row in op10. = it emphasis the phrase, and if it was written in th...

Re: [BRAVURA] What does this represent?

I am just curious what is the origin of these symbols. They are really beautiful but I am not sure how useful they are... except for comparison of a transposed motive, but hey! - if you come to that level that way to show the transposition is not important. I hope I am mistaken and happy to be able ...

Re: Espressivo font

Looks well! Two things: I think that thin lines are to thin or to say, bold are to bold. Something in-between for my taste I would like more... Another: what if you have the accidentals somehow bigger, if 24, try with 25 or 26. Just as a test. Do you feel the same about the dynamics as well? Se htt...

[BRAVURA] Organizing the font?

Hello. I have some questions about Bravura. 1. Why are there multiple symbols of the same shape but different position? Isn't it better to have just one position? And what does this positioning represent? 2.a. Why is it better to have one font (like Unicode) for the entire music symbols? Isn't it be...
