Sibelius hacks

Post by Stevie_Keys »

Hello all,

We all know that no notation software is perfect. All of them have their quirks, be it a "computerized" look from Finale and Sibelius, to the steep learning curve of Lilypond and SCORE. I have bounced around from a few of these programs over the years, but am currently using Sibelius for it's quick workflow. That being said, if you have ever used Sibelius, what is the most important (in your opinion) setting to change straight away, before even inputting your first note? Just curious of the responses from this talented community!

Cheers!

What I do I
1 - change Opus font to whatever else (currently Wolfgang + Old Music Standard)
2 - edit the Slur settings
3 - edit the spacing settings

But No1 is the most important.

I absolutely LOVE the wolfgang font. I completely agree with that. That said? Does anyone still use the Adobe Sonata font anymore?
