varied repetition

Post by amelchi »

Hello,

is it possible some automatism to globally change dynamics from, let'say, part A vs part A1?
in part A dynamics are Forte
in part A1 dynamics are Piano...

TIA

Can you be more specific? I can't visualise your question.

Gould says:

I've also seen it just done with a hyphen or some sort of divider when the intent is clear:

Or am I not understanding your question?

I was wondering if there is any script that convert a string of dynamics (mp, mf, mf, f, mf, mp...) into another string of dynamics (p, mp, mp, mf, p...) where the second string (the repetition) is one degree less in dynamics
Finale script?

Thanks anyway

So your question is concerning Finale, how to bulk change? Or how to notate it? Or how to use playback?
In order to get an appropriate answer, we need more information about what you use and what the goal is. You can also write it down by hand and take photo and upload.

here I am:
the first line vs the second differs only in dynamics that are

p mp f
vs
pp p mp

one degree different...
any way to automatise it?

Automatise what exactly? Do you want to copy paste and than increase the dynamic nuances?
