Interesting, I did the same when I was little.  Not exactly the same result, but the intention was right!

Finding decent pens for clear copies is difficult. While I love felt tips and fountain pens, a goose quill is a bridge too far.

I have his YouTube videos on a loop playing in the background right now. I'd love a digital font like that for Musescore. I do use Elam Rotem's Serenissima font https://www.earlymusicsources.com/more/ ... renissima for fragments in my notebooks.

I'm a huge fan of Clinton Roemer's The Art of Music Copying. It's nearly a lost art now.

As a non-violinist, looking at all those 32ths and 64th notes is intimidating. I realize the beaten tempo is actually slow by comparison, but....
